Questions
Is it free?
Yes: the exams, the certificates and the practice tests. You need a free account so the certificate is recorded in your name.
Is this an industry certification like PCEP or PCAP?
No. It shows that you passed a timed exam on the topics listed, and anyone can check it at its link. For the Python Institute’s exams, the practice tests here are written in their style.
How is the exam kept fair?
Each attempt draws its questions at random from a private bank and shuffles the options. The questions arrive without answers, the clock and the score are kept on the server, and you can take each exam once a day.
Can I take an exam again?
Yes, a day after your last attempt. Your certificate keeps your best score.
How do others check my certificate?
Every certificate has a short link and a QR code. The page they open reads the record from the server, so it shows your name, the exam, the score and the date as they were issued.
PCEP and PCAP are certifications of the Python Institute (OpenEDG), which is not affiliated with this website and does not endorse it. These practice questions are written for this site in the style of those exams; they are not the exams’ own questions.
